TRAINING MODULES

The content, format and location of these modules are completely flexible and tailored to meet individual needs. Formats for these presentations could include seminar/workshop presentations, resource development, teleconferencing or staff meeting / in-house training. The training team will work with you to determine the best option to effectively achieve your desired outcomes.

COST:
First Hour: $130.00 (+GST $13.00) Total $143.00
Additional Hours: $110.00 (+GST $11.00) Total $121.00 per hour
Full Day (Max 7 Hours):
1 Presenter $770.00 (+GST $77.00) Total $847.00 per day
2 Presenters $1347.50 per day (+GST $ 134.75) Total $ 1482.25

Travel costs are charged in addition to the hourly rate. There may also be an additional charge for written resources and/or notes.
Surcharges will apply for after hours and public holiday bookings.
Some training modules will require a minimum of 2 presenters/facilitators due to length of module, number of participants, and/or content to be covered.

Consultations may be accessed by families of a child with ASD, schools, childcare agencies, respite and community agencies involved in supporting individuals with ASD and their families. The aim of the consultation is to provide quality information and practical strategies specific to the needs of the particular individual with ASD. Consultations can include:

• New diagnosis consultation
• Autism Queensland Centre based consultation
• Visiting consultation to a nominated setting
• IEP & Educational Program Development consultation
• Case conferences.

COST: $110 per hour (no GST)
Travel costs are charged in addition to the hourly rate.
Surcharges will apply for after hours and public holiday bookings.

This service is available on request to provide review of an individual with ASD in one or more environments for the purpose of making program recommendations. The review may include observation of the individual in one or more environment, interview of the individual, parents/carers and or staff supporting the individual, informal structured assessment and/or formal testing by one or more of our multidisciplinary team. Rates for these assessments will vary depending on the requirements of the review.

The content, format and duration of intensive programs are flexible and able to be tailored to the needs of a specific individual with ASD.
These programs are available in Brisbane and regional Queensland in a variety of settings (eg. home, school, respite home, Autism Queensland’s therapy and educational centre, etc).
While the focus of an intensive program is governed by the individual needs of the person with ASD, from our experience the common issues addressed include:

• Behavioural Issues
• School Success
• Sensory Processing Issues
• Fine & Gross Motor Skills
• Friendships
• Organisation and Self Care
• Communication
• Leisure and Play Skills
• Understanding the ASD Diagnosis

Each program will be developed in consultation with the person requesting the program. Costs are reflective of the program format (including associated travel costs). Please note there will be an additional $70.00 processing fee for individuals not formally registered with Autism Queensland.

Below are some commonly requested formats for Intensive Programs, please remember that other formats can be designed specifically to suit your needs and time and financial constraints.

Example 1
Home Visit (2 hours), School Visit (2 hours) and Feedback Case-conference.
Inclusive of report, resource development, travel and telephone liaison with other support persons.
Approximately $800.00 (if in Brisbane) + $70 processing fee if not a registered client of Autism Queensland

Example 2
Regional (North Queensland) Program comprising a whole day at school, home visit
(2 hours) and follow-up teleconference.
Inclusive of report, resource development, travel expenses and telephone liaison with other support persons.
Approximately $1500.00 (varies with flights etc.) + $70 processing fee if not a registered client of Autism Queensland

Example 3
Block of 6 individual Occupational Therapy Sessions at Sunnybank Hills Autism Queensland Therapy & Education Centre.
Inclusive of resource development and summary of therapy strategies and recommendations.

Approximately $720.00 + $70 processing fee if not a registered client of Autism Queensland
