Venue: Autism Qld, 437 Hellawell Road, Sunnybank HillsDate: 02 August 2012 (1:30PM to 4:30PM)
The classroom and school environment may present many challenges for a student on the autism spectrum. This workshop will look at how this may affect the student’s educational experiences and outcomes. It aims to assist participants in understanding how students with ASD may see the world and why this impacts on their educational experience in the classroom and around school. During the workshop the facilitator will explore these areas of impact and discuss how to bridge some of the gaps. The workshop will provide a range of practical strategies that participants may implement in their own school setting. Questions and sharing of information/ideas is encouraged and highly desirable to enhance learning outcomes for all.
