Kidstart Programs

Kidstart Outreach Programs are individualised programs available to children under seven years of age in all regions of Queensland that are unable to access support through our regional Early Intervention Services in Far North Queensland and Central Queensland.

Kidstart Outreach programs are one of the ASD Panel Services approved by Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA ).

The length and structure of a Kidstart Outreach program we can offer are determined by factors such as:

• issues to be addressed,
• location of program,
• existing supports and programs, and
• the need for similar programs by other children in the area.

Fees vary depending on program structure, format and location of program.

As Kidstart Outreach Programs are approved ASD Panel Services, families may cover all or part of the cost of the program through their child’s Helping Children with Autism (HCWA)  Early Intervention funds.
