Steven Bowditch Golf Day
Autism Queensland a thankful beneficiary for Steven Bowditch Charity Golf Day
AQ was named the major beneficiary for the inaugural Steven Bowditch Charity Golf Day held at Twin Waters Golf Club on the Sunshine Coast on 21 November 2011. We extend our warmest appreciation to Steven and his Sponsors and Supporters. The day which concluded with ‘Bowdos BBQ’ at the Novotel Twin Waters Resort raised over a staggering $70,000 for Autism Queensland’s children’s programs.
This was a great day, the highlight of which was the many people, Professional and amateur golfers getting behind Steven in his support of Autism Queensland. A special thank you goes out to Steven Bowditch who visited our Sunnybank School the week before the event, and spent time getting to know the children in our programs. Steven is a natural with children and his putting lessons were a source of great enjoyment.
Thank you also goes to Steven’s many sponsors, including his major sponsor, Cellarbrations and everyone who participated to make this a special and successful first year. We are grateful to every Golfer who, on the day, put their hand in their pocket to support Autism Queensland. Thank you to those who were in a position to donate their prize money on the day including:
Steven Bowditch, Peter Senior, Greg Chalmers, Andre Stolz, Matthew Millar, Rod Pampling and Rodger Davis.
The Steven Bowditch Charity Golf Day will be an annual event, with Steven and Autism Queensland working in partnership towards an even bigger outcome in 2012.
