Autism Queensland Client Registration

Client Registration for Children:
For services such as group placement, respite care and parent programmes, a child must be a CLIENT of Autism Queensland.

To become a client, the child must first have a diagnosis of autism / autism spectrum disorder (ASD)/ aspergers syndrome / Pervasive Developmental Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS) by a medical specialist - pediatrician, child psychiatrist or neurologist.

Once this diagnosis is made, a written request for registration of their child should be sent to Autism Queensland by the parent/s or carer/s. This can be done in a letter, an e-mail or by downloading the “request for registration” template and forwarding to us. It is recommended that a copy of the diagnosis from the medical specialist be included with the request unless the medical specialist has already forwarded it to Autism Queensland. 

Following this written request, documentation is forwarded to the parent/s or carer/s for completion and returned to Autism Queensland. A registration fee of $50.00 applies which includes complimentary membership of Autism Queensland for one person for the current year.
